Standing Aside, Watching (Na kathese kai na koitas)

– The outdated portrayal of the greek countryside.
– The interesting performance of the lead actress, Marina Symeou, in the role of Antigoni, an alienated young woman.
– The haunting music score that accompanies the violent scenes of the film.
– The poor – to say the least – performance of Yorgos Kafetzopoulos. A better choice on this role, might have taken the film to a different level.
– The opening and closing monologues of Antigoni. Summarises the life of greek teenagers, growing up in the 80’s, in a few sentences.
