20,000 Days on Earth

– The impressive opening sequence where the life of Nick Cave is displayed through a count-up of important events from his birth and end up with a shot of his alarm clock on the bedside table as he wakes up to his 20,000th day!
– The narration of an incident in one of his concerts in Germany during which a drunk fan got on stage and started peeing on Blixa Bargeld’s guitar. The fact that the story is accompanied with a collection of photos make it even more whimsical!
– The scene where some well put guys, casually dressed in their mid 50s, are rehearsing in an old warehouse. If you did not see their faces, you would not believe that these are Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds!
– For a music documentary of a rock legend, there is not so much music and it seems a little bit staged!
– Nick Cave’s fans will love the film, as it gives an intimate profile of the artist! However if you are not familiar with his music and hoped to get acquainted, this is definitely not the film to watch!
